The Beach at Galle Road: Stories from Sri Lanka
The Beach at Galle Road by Joanna Luloff

After the Peace Corps, Joanna went on to receive her MFA from Emerson College and her PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri. She is now an Assistant Professor at SUNY Potsdam. The Beach at Galle Road explores themes of memory and identity amid the consequences of the Sri Lankan civil war. Many of the stories are inspired by the people Joanna encountered as a Peace Corps volunteer in Sri Lanka from 1996-1998.
